The Most Famous Woman Priest in the Catholic Church

I was a guest on, “Our Walk Together Podcast” with Paul Long. Paul mentioned the subtitle of my book, ‘The Original Priest – Mother Mary,’ and then asked, “who is the Woman you refer to as Mary Priest”? Mary Priest is actually Mary Mother of God, Jesus’ Mother. Any reader now might be thinking this simply can’t be true. My own Catholic Church has forever been very clear that there never were Women Priests in its own Church’s history.

Yes, a centuries-old Scandal, of lies and cover-up sadly continues to our present day. Some might think, what is your proof to make such an outlandish claim? My statement comes not from wishful thinking or conjecture, no, rather it comes from Biblical Research. Others still might think, ok Mary was named a priest but was this perhaps more of an honorary title given to her since she was Jesus’ mother? The research speaks to Mary being a Sacrificial Priest. She indeed was a real priest in every sense of the word.

The most wonderfully exciting discovery that Mary was a Priest, immediately gets displaced by Church’s member’s uncertainty, doubts, or others leaving no room to even step back and really even ask themselves, what if this was actually the truth? Anyone that does that, has to reckon with the realization that they have been lied to by their own Church. Beyond these lies is the actual cover-up, of Mary Priest’s actual existence in our early Church’s history. In another sense what an ironic twist of fate with Mary Priest’s existence to other Women Bishops, Deacons and Priests in our early Church, could this previously lost kernel of history, be the very answer to begin to help replenish the ever-present hemorrhaging shortage of Priests today?

Paul asked me, “what do we do now?” In the Church’s act of betrayal to any women in this church, what resultant loss did that ensue? Any women’s role models on the altar were not there for women as they were for men. A whole previous religious heritage of Women Priests had vanished from this Church’s landscape. Obviously, in what universe is this right? Through our own Baptism, we have every right to be able to answer God’s call to us, to be a Woman Priest. Too few Catholics are holding the Catholic Church accountable for their ministry which is hardly mirroring Jesus’s own Ministry. Where exactly in Jesus’ Ministry did we ever find lies, deceit, and cover-up?
